The Last Chance to Change Your Medicare Plan

The Last Chance to Change Your Medicare Plan

Starting January this year up until March, you are given the chance to make some changes in your Medicare plan. It is not necessary to change your coverage yearly, but it is advisable to check your plans for possible modifications. As a partner of National Insurance Associates in High Point, North Carolina, we want to guide you on how to decide between the Medicare Advantage Plan and Original Medicare.

  • Medicare Advantage Plan
As you may already know, Medicare Advantage is similar to Original Medicare in the sense that they have both the benefits of Medicare Part A and Part B. With Medicare Advantage, you can choose to get covered with prescription drugs (Medicare Part D) and other benefits from your chosen insurance services in North Carolina.
  • Original Medicare
Original Medicare traditionally includes hospital (Part A) and medical (Part B) insurance policies. If you want your prescriptions to get covered, you have to enroll for a separate Part D plan. Although Medicare Advantage has a lower out-of-pocket, Original Medicare can add Medigap (Medicare Supplement Insurance) for copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles for financial security.

March is your last chance to change some benefits to your Medicare plan. Contact your primary care provider or a Medicare consultant to help you. You can also get in touch with us here at Exemplar Insurance Associates, Inc. for further assistance. Contact us at 888-357-7457.
